KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Assistant Commissioner Madam Nida Iqbal conducted thorough inspections of shops across the district on Tuesday to ensure strict compliance with the official price list for vegetables, fruits, meat, and other essential commodities. Meanwhile, shopkeepers and butchers were explicitly instructed to display government-approved rates prominently at their outlets.

On this occasion, the Assistant Commissioner carefully checked the availability, pricing, and presentation of essential items and directed all business owners to adhere to the notified rates without exception.

In addition, she emphasized that failure to comply would attract strict action under the district administration’s ongoing monitoring program.

Moreover, officials reiterated that enforcement against illegal encroachments and arbitrary pricing would continue regularly, ensuring citizens have uninterrupted access to essential commodities at fair rates. Subsequently, monitoring teams were instructed to remain vigilantly active across all markets to safeguard consumer rights.
