KMU Successfully Conducts First Day of Its First-Ever Computer-Based Centralized Admission Test

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, successfully conducted the first day of the Computer-Based Centralized Admission Test (KMU-CAT 2026) for admissions to Pharm-D, BS Nursing, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Allied Health Sciences undergraduate programs.

For the first time in KMU's history, the admission test is being conducted through a fully computer-based, paperless examination system, replacing the traditional paper-based format to enhance merit, transparency, efficiency, and convenience.

A total of 18,152 candidates have registered for KMU-CAT 2026. On the first day, 6,971 candidates appeared at 23 fully air-conditioned computer-based examination centers across Peshawar, Kohat, Malakand, Swat, Hazara, Chitral, and Upper Dir.

Candidates received their results immediately after completing the test.

The successful conduct of the examination marks another milestone in KMU's commitment to transparent, merit-based admissions.

All arrangements have been finalized for the remaining test sessions on July 26, 2026. Students and their parents appreciated the computer-based testing system, efficient arrangements, and immediate result declaration.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, SI (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), congratulated the candidates and said that KMU remains committed to promoting merit, transparency, and quality through modern technology.

He added that the successful implementation of the computer-based admission test reflects the University's commitment to internationally recognized examination standards.
