Khairpur delegation praises GIMS Gambat for Free, World-Class Healthcare

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) A delegation from Khairpur has lauded Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) for providing advanced, free-of-cost healthcare to patients from across Sindh.

Vice Chairman of District Council Khairpur, Syed Fahad Ali Shah Jillani and Barrister Asfandyar Khan Kharal on Sunday visited the hospital and met with Director Dr Raheem Bux Bhatti.

During the visit, the delegation toured hospital wards and met admitted patients, including PPP Gambat Ex-General Secretary Ashiq Hussain Jaskani and Town Committee Khaira Councillor Karamullah Ajan. They appreciated the hospital’s policy of treating all patients without discrimination of caste, creed, or status.

The delegation also discussed facilities for patient attendants, accommodation arrangements, and the distribution of free medicines with hospital management.

Calling GIMS a “great blessing for the people of the region,” Jilani credited the institute’s transformation from a dispensary to a world-class medical center to the joint efforts of Dr. Bhatti and the Government of Sindh.

GIMS Gambat, established in 2015, now offers tertiary care services including liver, kidney, bone marrow, and cornea transplants, along with robotic surgery and stem cell therapy.

Hospital's Spokesperson Jameel Hyder said the visit reflects growing public and political recognition of GIMS’s role in bridging healthcare gaps in underserved areas of Sindh.
