Karachi police chief orders crackdown on weapons display, tinted glass vehicles

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) Additional Inspector General of Police - Karachi Azad Khan on Thursday ordered a strict crackdown across the city against the display of weapons, vehicles with tinted glasses, fancy number plates and those without or with unidentifiable registration plates.

According to a spokesperson for Karachi Police, the police chief directed all zonal DIGPs and district SSPs to take indiscriminate action against violators of the law and ensure immediate legal proceedings against those involved.

He further instructed officers to adopt a zero-tolerance policy and carry out effective operations throughout the city to curb such violations.
