Kaghan Development Authority board holds 10th meeting in Mansehra

MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The 10th meeting of the Board of Members of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Mansehra, under the chairmanship of KDA Chairman Jameel Ahmad.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Culture, Tourism and Archaeology Saadat Hassan, Commissioner Hazara Division Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Director General Rahmat Ali, Member Provincial Assembly Munir Hussain Lughmani, and Lieutenant General (Retired) Ayaz Saleem Rana, while Raqeeb Khan joined the session via Zoom. Senior KDA officials including Deputy Director Administration Rehmat Dil Khan, Assistant Directors Numan Khan, Zahoor Ahmad, and Asad Shahzad were also present.

The meeting reviewed in detail sustainable tourism promotion in the scenic Kaghan Valley, provision of improved facilities for tourists, and ongoing as well as proposed development projects in the region.

Officials from the Urban Policy Unit of the Planning and Development Department briefed the participants on the master planning of Kaghan Valley, while experts from NESPAK provided a detailed presentation on the proposed camping grounds.

During the meeting, the master plan for Kaghan Valley was approved in principle; however, the board members directed that certain essential formalities and requirements be completed before further implementation.

The Chairman emphasized that all development initiatives should be carried out while preserving the natural beauty of Kaghan Valley. He stressed that sustainable development projects must be ensured so that both local residents and tourists can equally benefit from them.
