Juma-tul-Wadah observed under tight security in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) Juma-tul-Wadah, the last Friday of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, was observed in Faisalabad

with religious devotion and under stringent security arrangements.

Large congregations were witnessed at central mosques where Ulema, in their sermons, highlighted the

significance of the Juma-tul-Wadah and Eid-ul-Fitr. They urged the Muslims to seek forgiveness, strengthen unity and extend support to underprivileged segments of the society.

The district administration and police had made comprehensive security arrangements as heavy police

contingents were deployed at all major mosques while entry and exit points were closely monitored

to avoid any untoward incident.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar personally supervised the security plan and directed

officers to remain vigilant throughout the day.

He said that special deployment, patrolling and checking had been ensured in and around sensitive locations to maintain law & order.

A police spokesman said that metal detectors and surveillance cameras were also utilized at key points to enhance security while plainclothes personnel were also deployed among the crowds to keep a close watch on suspicious activities.

Meanwhile, civic agencies carried out cleanliness operations around mosques and public places to provide a clean and hygienic environment for the worshippers.
