Actor and television host Juggun Kazim took to her Instagram to issue an appeal reminding the public that humans weren't the only ones suffering under severe weather and blazing sun, urging her followers to take care of animals within their home and those outside.

Juggun posted a video that opened with her comforting her dog after it returned indoors from the sweltering outdoor heat. In a display of affection, she gently wiped the dog's face with a wet cloth to cool it down, jokingly questioning why it had gone outside in the first place.

However, the tone quickly shifted into a meaningful plea. Speaking on the reality of the soaring temperatures, Juggun stated, "It is hot outside. Just like you take care of yourself, drink water, and sit in a shaded place, you should also care for the animals the same way."

She emphasised that the responsibility extends beyond the pets inside our living rooms. "Give them water, provide shade for them in a similar manner," she urged, adding, "Do that with stray animals, whether it be a dog or any other animal."

She urged the public to perform simple acts of care, asking them to place a bowl of water outside storefronts, gates, or balconies for parched animals to drink from. She also encouraged her followers to allow stray animals to rest under carports, tree canopies, or building awnings without chasing them away, and most importantly, ensure home pets are kept in well-ventilated or air-conditioned spaces.

This, the actor said, was "a small request, made with love."

"This heat is hard on all of us. Imagine what it feels like for the animals who have no fan, no shade, no way to ask for help," Juggun captioned her post. She added, "A bowl of water outside your home, office, or shop can make all the difference."

The actor concluded her caption with a note on shared existence. "Kindness doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes it is just remembering that we share this world with others, too. Please be gentle. Please be mindful," she wrote.
