Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, Superintendent of Police (SP) Paharpur Division Muhammad Iqbal Baloch held a meeting with religious scholars and members of the traders’ community to review security arrangements for the holy month of Ramazan.

The meeting focused on maintaining law and order during Ramazan, with special emphasis on security measures for mosques and markets, arrangements for Taraweeh prayers, and ensuring public safety during Sehri and Iftar timings.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts between police, religious leaders, and traders to maintain peace and harmony in the district.

He said that comprehensive security plans were being devised to facilitate citizens and prevent any untoward incidents during the sacred month.

The ulema and representatives of the traders’ community assured the police of their full cooperation and expressed their commitment to supporting joint efforts aimed at maintaining law and order.

The participants agreed to enhance mutual coordination and adopt collective measures to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the public throughout Ramazan.

According to the spokesperson of Dera Ismail Khan Police, such consultative meetings would continue to strengthen collaboration between law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders.
