Ministry of Hajj and Umrah would organize the 50th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah on Thursday with the participation of ministers, scholars, researchers and specialists from across the Islamic world to discuss the future of Hajj services and pilgrim experience

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Ministry of Hajj and Umrah would organize the 50th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah on Thursday with the participation of ministers, scholars, researchers and specialists from across the Islamic world to discuss the future of Hajj services and pilgrim experience.

According to SPA, the symposium was being held in cooperation with the Council of Senior Scholars as part of Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to develop the Hajj system and improve services for pilgrims.

The 50th edition of the symposium would highlight the Kingdom’s achievements in serving pilgrims over the past decades and review the role of awareness and guidance in improving pilgrims’ behavior and enriching their spiritual journey.

The discussions would also focus on the use of knowledge, innovation, data and modern technologies to improve operational efficiency and support the future development of Hajj services.

The symposium program included specialized scientific sessions, workshops and keynote speeches bringing together scholars, experts and researchers from different countries.

The report said the event represented a documentary and analytical review of 50 years of organized academic and institutional work dedicated to serving Hajj pilgrims.

Authorities said the symposium reflected Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of integrating knowledge and innovation into the sustainable development of pilgrim services and the Hajj operational system.
