HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Sindh Minister for Planning and Development, Jam Khan Shoro along with Member Provincial Assembly Dr. Sikandar Shoro, visited the Jamshoro Phatak to Ghulam Muhammad Barrage dual carriageway to review ongoing development work.
According to a handout issued here on Monday, during the visit, officials concerned briefed the provincial minister on the progress of the Sindh Flood Emergency Rehabilitation Project. Shoro expressed satisfaction over the timely completion of Phase-I, which has reached 99 percent completion. He was informed that work on Phase-II was progressing rapidly and had achieved 48 percent completion so far.
Officials further stated that Phase-II was targeted for completion by June 2026, while the road project was expected to be completed by August 2026.
On the occasion, Jam Khan Shoro directed authorities to ensure quality work and timely completion of the project. He also emphasized proper drainage arrangements to prevent water accumulation during rains.
The minister further directed that plantation be carried out along the roadside and in the median, and pedestrian bridges be constructed in populated areas to enhance road safety.
