IUB strengthens global standing through improved QS World Rankings performance

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has once again maintained its position in the QS World University Rankings 2027, reflecting its continued progress in academic performance, research, and institutional development.

The QS World University Rankings are globally recognized as one of the most credible and merit-based evaluation systems in higher education.

In the 2027 rankings, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur showed improvement in several key indicators. The university’s faculty citations score increased from 9.1 to 10.5, while the international research network score improved from 55.8 to 66.7. The sustainability score also witnessed significant progress, rising from 36.

2 to 52.5, while employment outcomes showed an improvement of 13 points.

Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran said that the continued recognition in the QS rankings reflects the university’s commitment to academic excellence, quality research, and institutional advancement. Director Quality Enhancement Cell Prof Dr Muhammad Asadullah Madani stated that this achievement is the result of collective efforts and teamwork across all departments under the guidance and leadership of the Vice Chancellor.
