IUB Senate approves budgets for 3 fiscal years in 18th meeting

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presided over the eighteenth meeting of the Senate of Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) as per the powers delegated by the Governor Punjab and Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan.

The meeting was attended by Members of Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Shoaib Owaisi, Sohail Zahid Khan, Sadia Muzaffar, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Registrar and Secretary Muhammad Shaji ur Rehman, Deans and Directors of Colleges of Divisions. The budget for the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 was approved in the meeting.

The participants of the meeting thanked the Federal and provincial governments, especially the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for their special support and cooperation in the difficult circumstances of the university.

Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, said that with the cooperation of government institutions, the hard work of faculty and employees, Jamia Islamia is working in the right direction and is gradually overcoming its problems. On this occasion, the Senate members elected Professor Dr. Muhammad Rafay and Professor Dr. Areeba Khan to represent them in the Syndicate through voting. In the meeting, Professor Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani was elected as a member of the Finance and Planning Committee through voting.
