BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran
inaugurated the "Gosha-e-Quran" and fruit tree plantation campaign at the university
campus.
The activity was organized in collaboration with the IUB Alumni Association and the Directorate
of Alumni Affairs.
The vice chancellor, along with Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Rauf, Managing Director of Al-Mustafa Trust Pakistan Nusrat Saleem, and Ijaz Faqih, President of the IUB Alumni Association, attended the ceremony and planted saplings to mark the launch of the initiative.
Director Alumni Affairs Dr Shahid Mahmood informed participants that under this campaign, a modern horticulture nursery will be established in the Sabzar area adjacent to the Institute of business and Administrative Sciences building.
The nursery will help promote greenery on campus and support future plantation activities.
On the occasion, Prof Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Prof Dr Asif Naveed Ranjha, Prof Dr Abdul Rafi,
Dr Aamir Manzoor, General Secretary Alumni Association, faculty members, and estate care staff were also present.
The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
