ITP issues traffic advisory amid movement of foreign delegations in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory for citizens in view of the movement of foreign delegations in the Federal capital, warning that traffic flow on major roads could remain affected at different times of the day.

An ITP official told APP on Wednesday that diversions would be placed on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road at various timings due to security and movement arrangements for visiting foreign delegations.

The official said traffic flow on these roads might remain slow or temporarily affected during the movement of official convoys.

He advised citizens to use alternative routes and service roads during diversion timings to avoid inconvenience.

According to the official, Islamabad Traffic Police personnel would remain present on roads to facilitate commuters and maintain smooth traffic flow.

He urged citizens to keep extra travel time in view of possible traffic congestion and cooperate with traffic police officials during the movement of delegations.

The official also requested the public to show patience and follow traffic instructions for smooth traffic management.

He further advised citizens to follow the Islamabad Traffic Police WhatsApp Channel and stay updated through Islamabad Police social media platforms and ITP FM 92.4 for latest traffic updates and advisories.
