ITP issues diversion plan for 10th Muharram procession in I-10

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Friday issued a traffic diversion plan for the 10th Muharram procession in Sector I-10 and advised commuters to use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

An ITP official told APP that the procession would commence from Imambargah Musa Kazim and proceed through Street No. I-10/1, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed and CDA Double Road before concluding at the same Imambargah.

According to the traffic plan, the following roads will remain closed or diverted during the procession:

Street No. 18, I-10 Markaz side

CDA Chowk

Service Road from Habib Tarpaul, I-10/1 Corner towards CDA Chowk

Service Road from I-10/4 Corner towards CDA Chowk

The official advised commuters to use the following alternate routes:

I-10 Markaz Service Road

IJP Road

I-10/1 Pirwadhai Hill Road and I-10 Markaz Service Road

I-10/3 Service Road

Citizens were requested to cooperate with traffic police personnel and use alternate routes during the procession to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Participants in the procession were advised to park their vehicles and motorcycles only in designated parking areas.
