Iranian authorities claim retaliatory actions, saying that strikes were carried out against Israeli positions as well as a US military base in Qatar

Tel Aviv/Tehran: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 3rd, 2026) Israel launched a large-scale aerial assault on a leadership complex in Tehran, deploying 100 fighter jets and dropping 250 bombs, according to the Israeli military.

In an official statement, Israeli forces said the strike also targeted Iran’s Presidential Bureau.

The military further claimed that over the past 30 hours, it has dropped approximately 2,000 bombs across various locations in Iran, including the Presidential Office and the Supreme National Security Council building.

Iranian authorities, however, reported retaliatory actions, stating that strikes were carried out against Israeli positions as well as a US military base in Qatar.

Independent confirmation of these claims has not yet been made.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Red Crescent said the death toll from US and Israeli attacks has risen to 787. According to the organization, 153 Iranian cities have been targeted, with more than 1,000 strikes hitting over 500 locations.

The escalating exchange of strikes has intensified tensions in the region, raising concerns over further instability and the potential for a broader conflict.
