IRSA releases 336,600 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2026) Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 336,600 cusecs of water from various rim stations with an inflow of 430,100 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam stood at 1533.00 feet, which was 131.00 feet higher than the dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 242,900 cusecs and 189,300 cusecs, respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1191.

00 feet, which was 141.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water were recorded as 48,500 cusecs and 8,600 cusecs, respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 267,200, 366,000, 303,900, and 168,700 cusecs, respectively.

Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 49,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera, and 78,400 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
