Iran warns US, Israel of ‘extremely harsh’ response after strikes on Tehran

Iranian and international media report that the attacks targeted Tehran as well as cities of Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom and Karaj

TEHRAN: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb 28th, 2026) Iran has warned the United States and Israel of an “extremely harsh” response following reported air and missile strikes on multiple cities, including the capital Tehran.

According to Iranian and international media reports, the attacks targeted Tehran as well as the cities of Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom and Karaj. Missile strikes were reported in the outskirts of Tehran, where plumes of smoke were seen rising into the sky. However, no casualties have been confirmed so far.

Israeli officials reportedly said that government buildings and military installations inside Iran were targeted in the strikes.

Reacting strongly to the attacks, Iranian officials said the country is preparing for retaliatory action and warned that its response would be “extremely harsh.”

The head of Iran’s parliamentary National Security Committee stated that the outcome of these attacks is “no longer in your hands,” signaling a serious escalation in tensions between Tehran and its adversaries.
