President Pezeshkian warns that failure by international community to hold those responsible for war accountable could pose serious risks to global security and stability
TEHRAN: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 11th, 2026) Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran has no plans to enter into a conflict with other countries in the region, during a phone conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.
President Pezeshkian warned that failure by the international community to hold those responsible for war accountable could pose serious risks to global security and stability.
He emphasized that Iran remains committed to peace and seeks no confrontation with its regional neighbors.
The call came shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent a letter to Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, offering condolences on the martyrdom of the late leader.
In his letter, PM Shehbaz Sharif also extended Pakistan’s sympathies and prayers to the Iranian people and the wider Muslim Ummah.
The officials said the conversation underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Iran, reflecting both countries’ efforts to maintain regional stability amid rising tensions in the middle East.
