Iqbal Academy, APWA College hold seminar on Marka-e-Haq, Youm-e-Takbeer

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Iqbal academy Pakistan and Government APWA College for Women Lahore jointly organised

a seminar on “Marka-e-Haq, Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and Youm-e-Takbeer” at the main

hall of the college on Tuesday.

Punjab Higher education Special Secretary Tajammul Abbas Rana presided over the seminar

while Punjab Public Instruction Colleges Director Prof Dr Syed Ansar Azhar attended the event

as chief guest.

The welcome address was delivered by Govt APWA College for Women Principal Dr Naimah

Khurshid, while Iqbal Academy Pakistan Director Dr Abdul Rauf Rafique (Sitara-e-Imtiaz) presented

the vote of thanks.

Prominent speakers include: Air Vice Marshal (retd) Anwar Mahmood Khan, Brig (retd)

Dr Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq, Air Commodore (retd) Khalid Chishti and Chairman Persian

Department Dr Muhammad Nasir.

During the seminar, Air Commodore (retd) Khalid Chishti delivered a detailed presentation

through special slides highlighting the military and strategic aspects of “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos”.

He elaborated on the success of operation, the professional capabilities of Pakistan Air Force (PAF)

and strategic measures adopted to foil enemy designs.

Addressing the participants, the speakers said that the poetry and philosophy of Khudi presented

by Allama Muhammad Iqbal had always served as a guiding force for the nation’s veterans, Ghazis

and martyrs. They said Youm-e-Takbeer commemorates the historic day when Pakistan made its

defence impregnable and demonstrated to the world that it would never compromise on its sovereignty

and dignity despite international pressure.

The speakers urged the youth to adopt Iqbal’s philosophy of Shaheen and play an active and

constructive role in national development and defence. They observed that the armed forces

had practically demonstrated the concept of Bunyan-um-Marsoos by exhibiting unity, courage

and commitment on every front.

In his concluding remarks, Dr Abdul Rauf thanked the distinguished guests, defence experts

and the college administration for their cooperation and participation.
