Investigation officer suspended over faulty probe

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Usman Akram Gondal, has taken strict disciplinary action by suspending Inspector Kaleem Ullah, who was serving as Incharge Investigation at Alpa Police Station, over negligence and faulty investigation.

According to the Regional Police Office spokesman, serious lapses and professional negligence were established in the investigation of Case No 131/2026 registered under Section 496-A PPC at Alpa Police Station. Following the findings, Inspector Kaleem Ullah was immediately suspended and directed to report to District Police Lines Multan pending further inquiry.

RPO Usman Akram Gondal stated that negligence, irresponsibility, and substandard investigative performance would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He emphasized that timely and transparent delivery of justice remains the foremost priority of Punjab Police, and strict action will be taken against officers who hinder this objective.

He further directed police officers and officials to perform their professional duties with integrity, merit, and strict adherence to the law to ensure effective and fair justice for complainants.
