International students promoting Pakistan's academic, cultural ties: speakers at expo

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Speakers at the sixth International Students Conference and Expo 2026, held at Riphah International University on Wednesday, said that international students were acting as ambassadors of Pakistan and playing a key role in promoting academic and cultural linkages.

A reception ceremony was attended by educationists and university administration, who highlighted the academic, cultural and social contributions of international students and stressed the need to project Pakistan as a safe and quality destination for higher education.

Addressing the event, the university's Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan said that foreign students studying at Riphah International University were not only earning degrees but also promoting Pakistan’s positive image, traditions and values in their respective countries.

He said the university was providing a friendly and secure academic environment to international students, adding that various co-curricular activities had helped foster a sense of belonging and cultural harmony among them.

The speakers said that interaction between international students and the local community not only strengthened academic exchange but also promoted mutual respect and trust among different nationalities.

Later, appreciation certificates were distributed among officers and organisers of various departments for their outstanding performance.
