International Museum Day observed in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The historic Ram Pyari Mahal Museum was opened to the public after the completion of renovation and restoration work on the occasion of International Museum Day.

According to official sources, Secretary Auqaf Dr Ehsan Bhutta, ADCR Gujrat Waqas Safdar, Assistant Commissioner Gujrat Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon, former Director Archaeology Malik Maqsood, Curator Shabano, and members of the Gujrat Heritage Foundation attended the inauguration ceremony.

The renovation included painting, tile work, and improvements to museum galleries. Additional facilities have also been provided for visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, participants said the initiative would help promote the historical heritage of Gujrat and strengthen public connection with the region’s culture and history.

The museum is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with an entry fee of Rs20.
