Intermediate exams to begin from May 20 under strict monitoring

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The Board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) Rawalpindi will begin its Intermediate First Annual Examinations 2026 from May 20, under strict monitoring measures to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice, said board spokesman.

According to the details, a total of 188 examination centres have been established across the division, while 60 centres will be monitored through an online command and control system.

Chairman BISE Rawalpindi and Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engr Aamir Khattak, stressed that a zero-tolerance policy would be enforced against cheating and examination irregularities.

He warned that strict action would be taken in case of negligence or violation of standard operating procedures, adding that all staff had been directed to perform duties in line with prescribed rules.

The controller of examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan, said that biometric attendance would be mandatory at 21 sensitive centres to further strengthen transparency.

Officials said 188 superintendents, 212 deputy superintendents and 1,638 invigilators had been deployed, while special squads and district vigilance committees would monitor arrangements on a daily basis.

Authorities also urged candidates to adhere to examination rules to ensure a fair and orderly environment.
