Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Extends Pakistan Day Greetings, Calls for Unity and Renewed National Resolve

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Monday congratulated the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day, describing 23 March as a timeless symbol of “unshakeable resolve, loyalty, and national solidarity.”

In his message, he paid glowing tribute to the founders of Pakistan and the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, stating that their sacrifices laid the foundations of an independent homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.

Mohsin Naqvi said 23 March 1940 remained a golden chapter in national history, marking the moment when the forefathers envisioned a separate state through the historic gathering in Lahore. “The promise made at that historic session materialised just seven years later in the form of Pakistan,” he added.

He emphasized that Pakistan is a priceless blessing from Allah Almighty, born of a great ideology and countless sacrifices. The Lahore Resolution, he said, sent a clear message that Muslims were a distinct nation deserving of political, economic, and geographical autonomy.

“Pakistan Day reminds us the nations survive and progress through strong ideals, unity, and persistent struggle,” Naqvi noted. He termed the day as one of renewing commitment to national cohesion, dignity, and development.

The interior minister stressed that to overcome the internal and external challenges confronting Pakistan, the spirit of Pakistan Day, unity and collective strength, remained essential even today. Referring to the guiding principles of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he said that unity, faith, and discipline would continue to guarantee national success.

“As a nation, we reaffirm our determination to spare no sacrifice for the security, stability, and prosperity of our beloved country,” Naqvi declared.

He urged the people of Pakistan to rise above differences and practically adopt Jinnah’s principles so the country could face present-day challenges with unwavering resolve.
