Intellectual, writers pay tribute to Journalist Jaffer Memon

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) Bazm-e-Rooh Rihan in its weekly series of literary sessions on Sunday organized a general meeting at Qasimabad business Forum.

In meeting Renowned journalist Jafar Memon was honored with words on the occasion of his 6th death anniversary.

Renowned storyteller Saleem Chana said that Jafar Memon was a unique journalist who opened the door to literature in journalism, Maxim Gorky's novel Maan(Mother) given to Sindhi literature, Sindh Rang and Halar magazines published commemorative pamphlets of his Dhadil number and Haveli number.

He will be remembered not only in the world of journalism but also in the world of literature.

The Secretary General of Bazm-e Rooh Rihaan, Wahid Kandhro said that Jafar Memon stood at the feet of poor newspapers and gave them wages.

He was a worker-friendly journalist.

While paying tribute to Jafar Memon, his colleague, writer and writer Saleh Katiyar said that Jafar Memon brought the voice of the poor people to the upper echelon, Mola Bakhsh Mohabati said in the meeting that Jafar Memon was close and learned from him on this occasion Waheed Mustafa Lashari, Azhar Ali Rand, Shah Ji Parko Juman Ansari, poet Khair Muhammad Ashiq Solan, storyteller Noor Hussain Shah Kalhoro, poet Shah Nawaz Sharif, writer Darya Khan Pirzado and others.

He talked about Memon's journalistic art and character and praised his words. Prayers were asked for the death of writer Barkat Ali Abro Karimi of Nasrpur and condolences were expressed.
