KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) Sindh Minister for Labor, Human Resources and Social Security Saeed Ghani, Wednesday reiterated Sindh government’s commitment to equipping the youth with modern technology and education saying that industries are being taken on board for providing employment to skilled youth.

The minister expressed the views during a meeting with a delegation led by Executive Director SZABIST ZABTech Waheeda Mahesar and comprised of Program Manager SZABIST ZABTech Arshma Rameez and Financial Controller ZABTech Nabeel Ahmed, said a statement issued here.

The Primary objective of the meeting was to review the progress of the Government Polytechnic Institute (GPI) Azam Basti- adopted by SZABIST ZABTech, and to deliberate on future opportunities for the youth of Azam Basti and neighboring localities.

Saeed Ghani said that the Sindh government is running the technical institute in collaboration with SZABIST ZABTech to equip the youth of Azam Basti with modern technology and modern education and thousands of youth were benefiting from the initiative.

Industrialists were also being taken into confidence to provide employment to these youth, he said and assured his continued facilitation and commitment to the uplift of the area.

Waheeda Mahesar delivered a comprehensive briefing on the employment outcomes achieved by the trained individuals from GPI Azam Basti while the discussion also covered potential industrial partnerships aimed at facilitating job placements and enhancing livelihood opportunities.
