Industrial unit fined in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on an industrial unit for violating environmental laws during an enforcement drive in Gujrat district.

According to official sources, the inspections were carried out under the supervision of Assistant Director Environment Usama Majid.

EPA teams inspected 15 industrial units and a brick kiln to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

During the drive, one industrial unit was found violating environmental laws and was fined Rs100,000. The fine was recovered on the spot.

The EPA said inspection and enforcement activities would continue without discrimination to curb air pollution and ensure effective implementation of environmental laws across the district.
