HASSANABDAL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Indian Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to participate in the annual Jor Mela commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev Ji have expressed satisfaction with the facilities and arrangements made during their stay.
Speaking to APP at Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal, pilgrims appreciated the arrangements for accommodation, transport, langar services, medical assistance and security.
Kulwant Kaur, a pilgrim from Amritsar, said visitors had been provided with the facilities required to perform their religious rituals in a peaceful environment.
Daljit Singh from Jalandhar said Sikh religious sites in Pakistan held special significance for the community and appreciated efforts made for their maintenance and preservation.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Other pilgrims highlighted the availability of medical camps, drinking water facilities and round-the-clock langar services despite the prevailing hot weather conditions.
Officials of the Evacuee Trust Property board (ETPB) and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee said arrangements had been made to facilitate the pilgrims throughout their visit to various Sikh holy sites in the country.
According to the pilgrimage schedule, the visitors will leave for Lahore after completing religious ceremonies and visits at Gurdwara Panja Sahib and other sacred sites. The main event marking the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev Ji will be held in Lahore before the pilgrims return to India through the Wagah border upon completion of their visit.
