ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DGISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, on Wednesday, said that drones used against Pakistan are being provided to the Afghan Taliban by India.

In an interview with a private tv channel, the DG ISPR said that the Afghan Taliban regime continuously provides shelter to terrorist leadership by relocating them.

He said these terrorists and their leadership would be held accountable for their heinous crimes and would be brought to justice, even if it required extracting them from the depths.

Ahmed Sharif said that in Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, 707 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime and Khawarij have been killed, while over 938 have been injured. Pakistan’s armed forces have destroyed more than 250 posts and captured 44 posts so far, he added.

He went on to say that in Pakistan, 400 civilians were martyred in terrorist incidents in 2025, averaging 33 civilian deaths per month. In 2026, this figure rose to 52 civilian deaths per month.

“Are those spreading false propaganda about civilian casualties not accountable for the martyrdom of innocent Pakistani citizens?” the DG questioned.

Dismissing propaganda regarding civilian casualties in the attacks, he said that most Taliban fighters do not wear uniforms and instead dress in civilian clothing.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan’s armed forces targeted an ammunition depot, weapons, and drone storage facilities of the Afghan Taliban in a recent strike in Kabul.

He said that 81 strikes were carried out inside Afghanistan, in which precision-guided ammunition was used to engage intended targets without collateral damage.

He said that the military camp located in Kabul has been in use by the Afghan Taliban regime since 2021. According to confirmed intelligence, the camp has been used under the patronage of the regime to house terrorists, their facilitators, and suicide bombers, he said.

“We possess records and footage confirming that the ammunition depot was specifically targeted,” he said.

Ahmed Sharif further said that the Taliban use drug addicts for suicide attacks. The presence of a drug rehabilitation hospital within a purely military compound, such as an ammunition depot and drone storage site, raises serious questions, he added.

He said that the attacker of the Terlai Mosque had come from Afghanistan and added that the Afghan Taliban regime produces two things—terrorism and narcotics.

He emphasized that Pakistan has no issue with the Afghan people, who are themselves oppressed and victims of the regime.

The DG ISPR said that the Afghan Taliban regime must now pay the price for facilitating terrorism, adding that cross-border smuggling has decreased and terrorism has also declined.
