Increased attacks of rabid dogs' protested

SHANGLA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Residents of Shangla here Thursday staged a protest demonstration against town municipal administration for not taking any action to control increased number of rabid dogs in the area.

The local population demanded immediate action against rabid dogs that have endangered the lives of people living in the area.

They said that as many as 61 persons have been attacked and bitten by dogs that are roaming freely in various localities.

The told that vaccination of those persons have been done but the situation has created fear among the population forcing them to remain indoor. It is worth mentioning that a group of students were attacked by rabid dogs among which one child was injured who was given treatment of his injured nose in District Headquarters Hospital Alpuri.
