Implementation of price lists & hygiene measures continues during Ramazan

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) In line with the provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap, the district administration on Saturday has intensified enforcement of official price lists and hygiene standards across Abbottabad during the holy month of Ramazan.

Assistant Commissioners, Additional Assistant Commissioners, Price Control Magistrates, and the Assistant Food Controller conducted inspections throughout the district to ensure the provision of quality food items at officially notified rates and to take strict action against shopkeepers violating government regulations.

Authorities also carried out operations against the sale of substandard items and the use of unhygienic or reused cooking oil.

According to official figures, 330 outlets were inspected during the latest drive. As a result, 13 shops were sealed, 12 shopkeepers were arrested, and fines amounting to Rs 147,500 were imposed on violators.

The district administration has urged citizens to report complaints regarding price list violations to the District Control Room at 0992-9310553 or via WhatsApp at 0335-5851233 for immediate action.

Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring price stability and maintaining hygiene standards to facilitate the public during Ramazan.
