Immigration officials undergo Chinese, Arabic language courses

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Under the directions from Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Dr Usman Anwar, immigration officers underwent Chinese and Arabic language courses as part of ongoing drive to improve further the immigration services for international passengers.

According to officials, a special language training course in Chinese and Arabic was organized for immigration officers posted at Multan International Airport under the supervision of Atta ur Rehman, Director Multan zone.

The training program was aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of immigration staff and aligning immigration services with modern international standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Director FIA Multan Zone Atta ur Rehman said the initiative would help officers communicate more effectively with foreign travelers and ensure courteous behavior and improved facilitation for passengers arriving from different countries.

He emphasized that continuous professional training of immigration officials is essential to meet the growing demands of international travel and to provide efficient and passenger-friendly services at airports.

He further stated that equipping officers with international language skills is among the key priorities of the FIA in line with contemporary global requirements.
