Imad Wasim respons to allegations by Ex-Wife Sania Ashfaq

Pakistan former all-rounder has served legal notice on his former wife and terms her allegations baseless

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb 23^rd, 2026) Pakistani cricketer and former national team all-rounder Imad Wasim has broken his silence over allegations made by his ex-wife, Sania Ashfaq.

Imad Wasim’s legal team has categorically termed the claims made by Sania Ashfaq as baseless and false. A formal legal notice has also been sent to her.

Imad Wasim shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring journalist Riaz ul Haq, in which advocate Aaliya Zareen Abbasi stated that the allegation of forced abortion against Imad Wasim is completely unfounded.

Advocate Abbasi confirmed that Imad Wasim’s legal team has collected all relevant medical records related to the matter. She added that the decision to travel to the United States in November 2023 to participate in the World Cup was made with mutual consent, which can be verified by the relevant doctors.

Complete records of tours to the UAE, Australia, and England in November 2023 have also been gathered and will be presented in court.

Abbasi further stated that the couple separated in November 2024 due to personal differences, at which time Sania Ashfaq was pregnant. Imad Wasim continued to cover all expenses until the birth of the child.

Since the birth of his son in July 2025, Imad Wasim has been fulfilling all responsibilities for his three children.

It may be mentioned here that Imad Wasim recently married social media influencer Nayla Raja. His ex-wife Sania Ashfaq shared a video of the marriage on social media, along with serious allegations, prompting Imad Wasim’s legal response.
