Illegal construction activities in Silk Valley Phase-II sealed in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) The district administration has intensified its crackdown against illegal housing societies in Abbottabad on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram under the provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap and District Service Delivery initiative.

In this connection, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Gohar Ali supervised an operation carried out by Additional Assistant Commissioners Kamran Ali Shah and Muhammad Tariq along with the district administration team and SHO City at Silk Valley Phase-II located on Sherwan Road.

During the inspection, illegal construction activities were found underway in Blocks A, B and C without obtaining the required No Objection Certificate (NOC). The administration took immediate action and detained five labourers and the concerned manager from the site, shifting them to City Police Station.

Officials also sealed the main gate and booking office of the housing scheme, while further legal proceedings have been initiated against those responsible
