IHC to hear plea for PTI founder's treatment from Shifa Hospital

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) would take up the petition for hearing, which seeking medical examination of PTI founder's at Shifa Hospital scheduled for hearing.

A two-judge bench comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro will hear the case. The court has scheduled the petition for hearing tomorrow with the objections of the Registrar's Office.

Lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa has filed a miscellaneous application for treatment of PTI founder. The petition requests that PTI founder be shifted to Shifa International Hospital.

It also requested to provide access to the founder's personal physicians Dr.

Faisal Sultan and Dr. Asim during the treatment.

The family should also be given access during the founder's treatment, it further prayed.

The petition prayed the court to order the authorities for provision of medical report to the lawyers of the PTI founder.

The petition had been moved through the lawyer Latif Khosa, which stated that PTI founder is 73 year old and currently in Adiala Jail. His family members and friends were not allowed to meet him for last five months.

The report submitted to the Supreme Court had revealed that the PTI founder is suffering from an eye disease and vision of one of his eye is affected.
