IHC seeks answer regarding regularizations of NCCIA's employees

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the Federation, FIA, NCCIA, Federal Public Service Commission and the Federal Ministry of Law in a case related to the regularization of the employees of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA)

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the Federation, FIA, NCCIA, Federal Public Service Commission and the Federal Ministry of Law in a case related to the regularization of the employees of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

The court directed the respondents to submit their comments and also provide copies of the response to the petitioners.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan issued the order regarding a hearing on the petition of 43 officers and employees, in which it was stated that the petitioner's lawyer requested that orders not be issued to terminate the contracts, an order not to withhold the salary and other benefits of the petitioners until the final decision of the petition.

It said that a request was made to declare the posts vacant and prevent other re-recruitment on an adhoc basis.

The petitioners requested that the NCCIA and FIA be ordered to send the records of the petitioners to the FPSC and it was said that the FPSC should be allowed to make rules in accordance with the law and steps should be ordered for the promotion and permanence of the petitioners.

According to the petitioners, they were appointed through advertisement after completing regular test interviews and other legal requirements and were sent to NCCIA on deputation from FIA.

In the order, the court said that the points raised by the petitioners are worthy of consideration, and notices were issued to the parties for their response. The court adjourned the hearing, seeking a response.
