ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday reserved the decision in the case against students not being allowed to appear for the CSS exams at the Lahore center.

Justice Muhammad Asif, while addressing the Assistant Attorney General, remarked that these are all children, give them relief, you should open your heart, the government and the state are like mothers, they should take care of the students, educate the children, provide facilities.

Justice Muhammad Asif reserved the decision after hearing the arguments on the petition of Advocate Munir Ahmed. The lawyer argued that hundreds of students were deprived of the exam at the Lahore center, the state is like a mother, it does not happen that the state says in a press release that it will take action against them.

The Assistant Attorney General said that the students were earlier told to come 50 minutes before, if they do not come, it is their mistake.

They can’t come directly to the high court by skipping two forums.

Justice Muhammad Asif said that if they went to other forums and then came to the court, their time would have been wasted. These are all children, give them relief. You should be kind. The government and the state are like mothers.

Students should be taken care of. Educate and facilitate the children. Lawyer Munir Ahmed said that out of the total 17,000 students, 4,000 students were to appear for the exam from the Lahore center. The Federal Public Service Commission's press release stated that they should arrive 50 minutes before the exam. The gate was closed 50 minutes before the exam. The students' lifetime chance was missed. The court inquired whether they could close the gate before the paper started.

The court reserved its decision and directed the lawyer-petitioner to submit judgments in this regard so that we can see them.
