IHC reconsolidates company benches, Issues Notification

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reconstituted its company benches, issuing a notification for the formation of special benches to hear cases filed under the Companies Act 2017

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reconstituted its company benches, issuing a notification for the formation of special benches to hear cases filed under the Companies Act 2017.

According to the notification issued, the decision to reconstitute the company benches was made under the Islamabad High Court Practice and Procedure Rules 2025.

The newly formed company benches will consist of Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan, and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro.

The company benches will also hear cases under Section 8(b) of the Corporate Restructuring Companies (Amendment) Act 2021. Additionally, the benches will decide cases falling under the SECP Act 1997.
