IGP Rizvi remains in field on third day of Eid, reviews citywide security

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remained in the field on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr, personally overseeing security arrangements across the Federal capital.

A public relations officer told APP on Monday that the IGP Rizvi visited various checkpoints, duty points and important locations, where he met police officers deployed on duty.

He directed officers to remain alert and perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism, ensuring the protection of life and property of citizens at all costs.

Rizvi said that all officers should remain present in the field during Eid days to provide a safe and secure environment to the public.

He also directed traffic police to utilize all available resources to maintain smooth traffic flow at busy locations.

The official added that the city was being continuously monitored through Safe City cameras to ensure effective surveillance.

The IGP Rizvi reiterated that providing a safe and peaceful environment to citizens remained the top priority of Islamabad Police.
