IGP Rizvi pays last respects to Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed, assures support to bereaved family

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi paid his last respects to Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed by attending his funeral prayers at Police Lines Headquarters, where a large number of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police officers and personnel also gathered to honour the deceased officer.

An official told APP on Thursday that senior police officers and personnel attended the funeral prayers and expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.

Rizvi offered condolences to the family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss.

The IGP Rizvi assured the bereaved family that Islamabad Police would extend every possible support and cooperation and continue to stand by them during this difficult time.

Rizvi said the services and dedication of Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed would always be remembered and that the welfare of police personnel and their families remained a priority for the department.
