IGP orders immediate redressal of police employees, families' issues

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Abdul Kareem, on Monday met police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office and issued on-the-spot directions for the resolution of their problems

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Abdul Kareem, on Monday met police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office and issued on-the-spot directions for the resolution of their problems.

During the meeting, the IGP listened to various issues raised by police officials and their family members and directed the concerned officers to ensure immediate relief.

According to spokesperson, on applications seeking medical financial assistance for Mali Abdul Qayyum and retired Constable Riaz Hussain, necessary directions were issued to the DIG Welfare and Finance.

Similarly, on transfer requests of Constable Tahir Mubarak and Junior Clerk Zubair Hamza, the Additional IG Punjab was directed to examine the cases.

The IGP also ordered appropriate action on applications regarding recruitment of the sons of Driver Constable Hameed Ahmad and retired Constable Muhammad Iqbal, directing the Additional IG Punjab to extend relief in accordance with rules.

He further issued instructions on other matters related to discipline, administration, promotions and welfare of police personnel.
