IGP congratulates newly inducted PSP officer Aswa Khalid

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Wednesday met newly inducted Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officer Aswa Khalid at the Central Police Office (CPO) and congratulated her on her success in the CSS examination.

Aswa Khalid is the daughter of Assistant Khalid Mehmood, who is serving at the CPO.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Aswa joined the PSP after successfully qualifying the CSS competitive examination. She also holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.

The IGP Punjab congratulated Aswa Khalid on her remarkable achievement and extended best wishes for her future career.

He also paid tribute to Assistant Khalid and his wife for their dedication and hard work in ensuring quality education and proper upbringing of their daughter despite difficult circumstances.

Addressing Aswa Khalid, the IGP advised her to perform her professional responsibilities with honesty, commitment to public service and innovative thinking. He urged her to make public service her foremost mission during her career in the police service.
