ICT Police put 36 outlaws in handcuffs, drugs & weapons seized

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 36 outlaws, including proclaimed offenders and criminals involved in different illegal activities, recovering a huge cache of drugs, liquor and weapons during ongoing crackdown operations in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Sunday that police teams arrested 20 accused involved in various criminal activities and recovered 2,740 grams of hashish, 1,451 grams of Ice, 570 grams of heroin, 208 bottles of liquor, two rifles, two Kalashnikovs and five pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

He said cases had been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations were underway.

The official said during a special campaign launched for the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders, various police teams also arrested 16 criminals.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said Islamabad Police remained committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and no element would be allowed to disturb public peace.

He said ensuring peace and security of residents remained the top priority of Islamabad Police.
