ICT Police put 24 outlaws in handcuffs, seize drugs and weapons

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 24 outlaws, including proclaimed offenders and criminals involved in different illegal activities, during ongoing crackdown operations in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Monday that police teams arrested 22 accused involved in various criminal activities and recovered 590 grams of hashish, 3,687 grams of heroin, 1,653 grams of Ice, 91 bottles of liquor, one Kalashnikov, two guns and three pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

He said cases had been registered against the arrested accused while further investigations were underway.

The official said during a special campaign launched against proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams also arrested two criminals.

Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continued effective operations against criminal elements to maintain peace in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said Islamabad Police remained committed to protecting citizens’ lives and property and no one would be allowed to disturb public peace.

He said ensuring peace and security of residents remained the top priority of Islamabad Police.
