ICT Police, HIU put three proclaimed offenders behind bars in murder case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Humak Police Station and Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) arrested three proclaimed offenders involved in the murder of a man and injuring a woman during a firing incident.

An official told APP on Wednesday that the police arrested the accused Abdul Rehman, Afzal and Abdul Malik, who were wanted in the murder case.

He said the accused had opened fire during a dispute within the jurisdiction of Humak Police Station, killing Muhammad Ameen and injuring his wife.

The official said that on the directions of DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, special police teams were constituted under the supervision of SP Sawan Zone Muhammad Khurram Ashraf to arrest the suspects involved in the case.

He said the police teams, while utilizing modern investigative and scientific techniques, successfully traced and arrested the proclaimed offenders involved in the incident.

DIG Tariq said that the arrested accused would be challaned in court on the basis of solid evidence to ensure exemplary punishment.
