ICT Police check 341 individuals, shift 41 suspects, vehicles in grand search operations

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police checked 341 individuals and shifted 41 suspicious persons, vehicles and motorcycles to police stations during grand search and combing operations carried out in different areas of the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Sunday that the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs to curb crime and tighten the noose around criminal elements.

During the search operations, police teams checked 167 households, two hotels, 22 shops, 197 motorcycles and 76 vehicles in various parts of the city.

The official said 11 suspicious individuals, nine vehicles and 30 motorcycles were shifted to police stations for further verification and investigation.

According to the official, the search and combing operations were aimed at strengthening security, preventing criminal activities and ensuring effective monitoring in sensitive areas.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said the purpose of these operations was to further tighten the grip on criminal elements and enhance security across the federal capital.
