ICT Police check 230 individuals in fresh combing operations, 4 suspects detained

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted joint grand combing operations in various areas of the Federal capital under special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, detaining four suspicious individuals.

An official told APP on Friday that the operations were carried out in the jurisdictions of Korral, Tarnol, Phulgran, Industrial Area, Lohi Bher and Sumbal police stations under the supervision of zonal SPs. He said lady police officials also participated in the operations to ensure effective checking.

The official said during the operations, 230 individuals and 128 households were checked.

He said 39 hotels and 34 shops were also inspected during the search. The official said 197 motorcycles and 53 vehicles were examined. He said the suspects along with 20 motorcycles were shifted to relevant police stations for further verification.

The official said special checking points had been established at entry and exit routes of the city to ensure effective monitoring. All patrolling units and special squads remained active across the city, he added.

Senior officers remained present in the field to review security arrangements.

The official urged citizens to cooperate with police during checking and report any suspicious activity immediately.
