ICT Police bust robbery, theft gangs; six members held, stolen bikes, phones recovered

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested six members of robbery and theft gangs involved in snatching motorcycles, mobile phones and other valuables, recovering four stolen motorcycles, five mobile phones, cash and weapons used in the crimes.

An official told APP on Tuesday that the arrests were made during separate operations conducted by Karachi Company, Golra, Bani Gala and Bhara Kahu police stations.

He said the recovered items, worth millions of rupees, included five valuable mobile phones, four stolen motorcycles, cash and weapons used in criminal activities.

The official said the accused were also involved in stealing mobile phones, cash and other valuables from attendants of patients at hospital premises.

He identified the gang members as Ehtesham Aziz, Arshad Rehmat, Sardar Shah, Sauban Ahmad, Saad Faizan Shah, Muhammad Zubair and Hazrat Ali.

DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq said Islamabad Police was continuing a large-scale crackdown against organized and active criminal gangs across the Federal capital.

He said protecting the lives and property of citizens remained the top priority of Islamabad Police and such operations would continue without discrimination.

Further investigation into the cases is underway.
