Ice addict who steals sacrificial animal arrested

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Peshawar police have arrested an accused of stealing a sacrificial animal and selling it at a low price ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to police on Sunday, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Bhana Mari Police Station, where a citizen reported that his bull purchased for sacrifice, had been stolen.

After receiving the complaint, police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and used modern investigation techniques to trace and arrest the suspect.

Police said the accused is addicted to crystal meth (“ice”) and stole the animal to sell it for his drug. The accused had sold the stolen bull at a throwaway price.

A case has been registered against the suspect, and further investigation is underway.
